Helping the children of Chernobyl and their families

Why we do what we do

The consequences of the fallout of radioactive elements when Reactor 4 at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station exploded on 26th April 1986 will effect the people of Belarus and Ukraine for hundreds, if not thousands of years. Find out more at About Us and Get Involved

How can you help?

Our Links (local groups) throughout the UK raise money to bring children from needy familes to the UK for recuperative breaks, away from the high background radiation levels, so that they can enjoy uncontaminated food, breath clean air, and allow their immune systems to recharge. We are always looking for volunteers to join us either as host families or helping with fundraising. Find out more here.

How can you help during the COVID 19 Pandemic?

As you know, the summer of 2020 will be very different because we are unable to host any children from Belarus or Ukraine. However, the children and their families are facing the same unprecedented challenges that we are, but with extremely limited resources all exacerbated by the wildfires raging inside the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Please contact your local link if you can help us to help them. Thank You Very Much

As well as bringing children to the UK, the Charity is involved in support projects in Belarus and Ukraine benefitting children that are unable to travel.

Family Support Project

Thanks to the generosity of hundreds of private donors we also help many hundreds of families with difficult life circumstances in Belarus and Ukraine.
