Welcome To Chernobyl Children
Can you remember the Chernobyl disaster back in April 1986? The population of Belarus can.
The Belarusian people are suffering more than ever from the legacy of the worlds worst nuclear disaster – the radioactive fallout was 90 times greater than Hiroshima with 70% of it falling on Belarus.
The Chernobyl Childrens Life Line charity was formed to help the children of Belarus. There are now around 165 links throughout the country who raise funds to bring groups of children to the UK for respite care (approximately 4,500 per year). It costs £350 to bring a child to the UK which covers their air fare. The links are all run by volunteers – all of their fundraising goes towards bringing groups of children to the UK, and giving them a holiday to remember when they are here.
PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING A CHILD A CHANCE.
WE LOOK FORWARD TO HEARING FROM YOU. |
