Clothes Emporium

We are a local charity raising funds for our local LINK of the CCLL. We have been lucky enough to obtain new end of range clothes form one of the local retail outlets.

As we get new clothes we will be holding more events, if you would like to be added to our mailing list, please contact us and let us have your email address.  Email: portsmouth@ccll.org.uk

Clothes Emporium goes mobile.

Following on for the success of the last two clothes emporium days, the remaining items were on display for the people who could not join us at the last event. At the Portsmouth Labour Club on Friday 8th October we hosted a sale of new clothes as well as some second hand clothes.  We had a steady stream of customers and raised £236 in a couple of hours to add to our total.

Clothes Emporium

One of our close supported and friend of the Link, using his negotiation skill has managed to arrange for a quantity of new clothes to be donated to our Link, we have taken selected items for the children who will visit in 2011.

In order to raise additional funds towards our target of £8,000, Mark hatched a plan with his wife Sam and admirably supported by Joan and other Link members arranged for a clothes day on 19 August 2010, where Joan’s house was over taken with clothes displayed on racks and tables full of other items.

Invites were sent out to many of our supported who came and viewed the Clothes Emporium and made donations for the various items. Teas, Coffee’s and Biscuit’s were in abundance courtesy of Joan.

The day started at 10am and continues in to the evening, you can see Mark below resting towards the end of the day after a long hard day, but his reward was that he raised over £348 on the day.

Our thanks go out to everyone for all their hard work, also to Joan for the use of her house for the day.  Obviously we also need to thank the Link members and our supporters and friends that made the day a great success
