We are the Newark and Sherwood Link of our national charity founded in 1991 by Victor Mizzi M.B.E. 
We are just one of approx.150 Links throughout the UK raising awareness and funds to:- 

• Bring groups of children from Belarus and the Ukraine for basic health and respite care holidays with family placements.
• Provide much needed aid in the form of medical, clothing and other resources.
• Help fund, participate in and organise humanitarian projects in Belarus and the Ukraine.

The children are suffering from genetic blood disorders, associated illnesses and/or social hardship as a result of the Chernobyl Nuclear Accident on April 26th 1986.

Imagine: Living the rest of your life in a radioactive polluted environment. There is no escape. Money cannot buy protection.
 
Imagine: Eating food that may harm you, but what else can you do?

Imagine: Coming to the UK and eating fresh food and breathing fresh air and going home with your immune system recharged.

Imagine: Knowing that people DO care.

Our hope and aim is to help such children by boosting their immune systems and making a real difference to their health and lives.
