Welcome

During the Chernobyl disaster, winds blew over Belarus. This has resulted in only 1% of the land remaining uncontaminated and the entire country being proclaimed a zone of international ecological disaster. The Chernobyl Children's Lifeline was founded to the help the children of Belarus. The entire organisation is voluntary and there are few overheads. There are no salaries: all donations go straight to the cause.

The charity helps the children by bringing them to the Ashbourne and Uttoxeter area for a few weeks holiday. The clean air and uncontaminated food makes an enormous difference to the health of the children.
